Hey Everyone!
Today's 'Get the Look' is for the iconic Nicki Minaj. I got the idea to do this particular GTL today when my friend mentioned that they intended to go as Nicki Minaj for Halloween. The look we're going for today is basically the one pictured below, which includes bright fun eyes, a bubble gum pink cheek, and bright fuchsia lips. So let's get started!
Face:
Start by applying a primer.
Next, apply any foundation you wish. If you have paler skin like me, you're going to apply a foundation a few shades darker than your natural skin tone. Don't forget to go apply foundation to your neck and chest as well so everything is the same color.
Nicki Minaj has flawless skin in this photo, so apply a concealer that matches your foundation shade to your under eye area and any other area you need to conceal, like around your nose, and to any pimples.
Apply a setting powder to set the foundation and concealer.
Using 24/7 Glide on eye pencil in Clash apply this all over the lid and blend with your finger quickly because this dries in about a minute. Don't try to wing it out yet.
I don't believe that Nicki is using a crease color in this picture, i think it's just the pop of turquoise and then a highlight color. Using a fluffy brush, apply MAC's dazzlelight eyeshadow to the brow bone.
For the waterline, use Makeup Forever's kohl pencil in Matte White 2K to line the waterline. This will make the whites of your eyes look whiter, as well as give the illusion that your eyes are bigger.
Using the 24/7 waterproof liner in perversion create a line from your inner corner to the end of your lid, making sure that the line gets thicker as you go. Wing it out upward to create a gorgeous cat eye.
Next you want to take an angled eye liner brush and dab some of 'Clash' onto it and very carefully go along the black liner we did earlier and create a winged effect on top of the black eye liner, using the picture above for guidance, next fill it in. Using a q-tip and eye makeup remover, go over the edge of the line you just made to fix it and make it perfectly straight.
Now for my favorite part, the eye lashes. Nicki always has crazy long and fabulous fake lashes. Makeup Forever offers a long range of epic lashes. For this look, i'm going to use 128 Margarita which are black half long lashes. So the outer half are extremely long, while the other half is shorter. Once they have been applied, use a coat of your favorite mascara to blend the fake lashes with your real ones.
Following that, apply Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-on cheek tint in the shade 'Crush', a gorgeous bright pink to the apples of your cheeks and blend up. Don't be afraid to go a little heavy on the blush.
While applying the lipstick, remember that Nicki has really full lips, so you want to exaggerate your lip shape while you apply the lipstick. Use a lip brush to do this, and following that, apply concealer around the lipstick and blend the concealer out so that it looks natural and doesn't look like you faked your lip shape.
Finally, apply a miniscule dot of high beam above your cupids bow, and blend it. This will make your lips look fuller.
That is it for this Get the Look. Now all you need is a crazy wig and fluorescent, over the top costume and you're set! If you have any GTL requests, let me know and I'll see what i can do!

I'm going to start by applying highlighter. In this case, Benefit Moon Beam. Apply 3 dots on your cheek bones and blend up. As well as on the bridge of your nose and chin. Don't put the highlighter away though because we're going to come back to that soon. Following that, apply Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-on cheek tint in the shade 'Crush', a gorgeous bright pink to the apples of your cheeks and blend up. Don't be afraid to go a little heavy on the blush.
Lips
I think the lips are my all time favorite part of this entire look. to achieve the very bright pink lip Nicki Minaj is wearing in this look you can use one of two lip sticks. The Urban Decay Saturated high gloss lip color in 'Crush' or NARS 'Schiap'. 'Crush' is more glossy and more blue based, while 'Schiap' has more of a matte finish and is more opaque. While applying the lipstick, remember that Nicki has really full lips, so you want to exaggerate your lip shape while you apply the lipstick.
